“In spring, the dawn”

As a young girl, I had an idea that someday I would write a novel about a girl who finds an old diary. Over the years, this story developed and changed as I did, but the kernel of the idea stayed the same.

I never knew what the diary would say, but it would probably be filled with stories about love, mundane everyday life, and (sidenote: “Only lonely people keep diaries,” as L. M. Montgomery wrote in hers. ) too. What matters isn’t what was said, but instead the comfort it gave the narrator in a time she needed a friend.

I never know how to end these sorts of stories, so I never write them – only the idea of them. But I realized something today, when asking myself why I write this blog. These HTML-woven words are the diary that someone else may discover.
