It’s 2025, and people are still creating groundbreaking mods for The Sims 2

For over a decade, I’ve had nohumble.package sitting in my mods folder so that I never have to see this fucker show up on my Sim’s front lawn again.
The mod does what it says on the tin. No Rod Humble. Who is allegedly a real person, by the way.
Alien pregnancies aside, I like a bit of realism in my Sims game. I find it super unrealistic for an EA shill to give away stuff for free.[1]
So what better solution is there, than to patch him out of the game entirely?
Enter RodGetsHumbled.package, uploaded by a mysterious new user[2] on ModTheSims.
According to the documentation:
Rod has to come and make the delivery, or he’ll be fired. So really, this is all your fault.
Feeling guilty? Don’t. Look at this slop I found on image search:

Plus, you needed this laugh. I needed this laugh.
Hold on, what’s that? You’re telling me they used to give away that game that they just re-released for $30? ↩︎
I have since learned riperiperi is the one of the developers behind Simitone and FreeSO. But I prefer mysteries. ↩︎
